This document is the core legal file for open source compliance of the SmartDolphinVPN project. Released simultaneously with project code, compiled artifacts, and open source repository resources, it serves as the sole compliance basis for the legal use, reproduction, modification, distribution, and secondary development of the project. The content of this document has the same legal effect as the official MIT License terms. All development, dissemination, and use of the project comply with the open source license specifications certified by the Open Source Initiative (OSI). There are no illegal acts of unauthorized citation, tampering, or secondary distribution of third-party open source components.

1. Core Agreements of the Overall Open Source License

All self-developed source code, configuration files, secondary development adaptation code, compiled artifacts, documentation, and derivative works developed based on this project are released, used, and distributed in accordance with the official full terms of the MIT License. The core agreements are as follows:

  1. Any natural person, legal person, or other organization may freely use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and conduct secondary development of this project without prior authorization or payment of fees. It supports all usage scenarios including commercial, closed-source, and non-commercial purposes, with no restrictions on subjects or scenarios.
  2. When modifying, distributing, conducting secondary development of this project, or developing derivative works based on it, the complete retention of this declaration document, developer information, and the MIT License copyright notice in a prominent position in all distributed artifacts (including source code, compiled packages, and documentation) is required. No deletion, tampering, or concealment of any copyright and compliance-related information is allowed.
  3. Without the developer's written authorization, no subject may use the project's developer ID (ASTRaeUS) or project ID (SmartDolphinVPN) as a trademark, for commercial promotion, or engage in other activities that may easily cause public confusion about the project's ownership. When commercially distributing derivative works, it shall be clearly marked as "Developed based on the SmartDolphinVPN project (Developer: ASTRaeUS)".
  4. This project is released "as is". The developer provides no express or implied warranties regarding the availability, stability, and security of the project code and compiled artifacts, and shall not be liable for direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use, deployment, or modification of this project, as well as any legal disputes, civil or administrative liabilities caused by the use of the project.
  5. The original copyright of this project belongs exclusively to the developer ASTRaeUS. Any subject that complies with the MIT License and the agreements in this declaration shall have the legal right to use the project. The copyright of derivative works legally modified and developed by such subjects shall belong to themselves, provided that the original copyright of this project is not infringed.

2. List of Open Source Components Used and Corresponding Licenses

In the development of this project, excellent components, technical frameworks, and tools publicly available in the open source community are reasonably referenced and used. All reference activities strictly comply with the official open source license terms of each component, with no unauthorized modification, secondary distribution, or illegal commercial use. The copyright of each component belongs to its original development subject. This project only makes compliant references and does not claim any original copyright or modification rights of third-party components.

3. Supplementary Instructions for Compliant Use

  1. For components under the AGPL-3.0 and GPLv2 licenses referenced in this project, dynamic linking is adopted in accordance with their official terms without modifying the core source code of the components, thus avoiding the compliance risk of "infectiousness" of open source licenses. For components under the Apache License 2.0, BSD 3-Clause License, and MIT License, all license terms are fully complied with, with no illegal use.
  2. If the official license of any third-party open source component referenced by this project is updated or the component's source code undergoes core changes, the developer will complete the project's compliance adaptation within 7 working days, synchronously update this declaration document and relevant information in the project repository, and issue an official adaptation announcement. The distribution and update of new project versions will be suspended until the adaptation is completed.
  3. Any subject that discovers illegal use of open source licenses, infringement of third-party components, or tampering with copyright information in this project may provide feedback to the developer via the official contact email. The developer will verify the feedback content and provide a clear handling result within 7 working days. If any illegal act is verified, rectification will be completed immediately and a public apology will be issued in the project repository.

4. Final Supplementary Declaration on Copyright and License

  1. The right to modify and update this declaration document belongs exclusively to the developer ASTRaeUS. After modification, the document will be marked with the latest version number and update date in the project repository, and the old version will automatically become invalid and no longer have any legal effect.
  2. The official full text of the MIT License is stored in the project root directory. The content of this declaration document complements the official license text. In case of any conflict between the two, the official MIT License text shall prevail.
  3. All open source activities of this project comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China. Any subject using or distributing this project must also comply with the relevant laws of the country/region where it is located. All liabilities arising from violations of local laws shall be borne by the user.
